I am not sure many people will be interested in what happens during a day in my life so we will see.  I am a small animal veterinarian with a special interest in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM).  i have been a veterinarian for 27 years and I still get excited about interacting with my patients and their caretakers.  I remember hearing many times from one of my best teachers, Rena Ferreira, that her best teachers were her patients and that is very true. I have been doing this for so long that I am often unaware of what I am observing from the animals.  There is such an unconscious communication between us that the times I am most tuned in is when an animal is scared or aggressive.  Yesterday we had three dogs in the clinic that were really scared and wanted to bite us to protect themselves.  One was in to have a large fatty tumor removed from his chest, one just needed a toe nail trim and the last one was ill from renal insufficiency.
